So if one enjoys train travel, these train routes should be on the travel wish list.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, West Bengal: -

one of the oldest train routes in India.

The train ride on the Matheran Hill Railway will take approximately two and a half hours and take one from its starting point in Neral, to Matheran.

This train is also well known for being the only toy train in India to run over a yard and was recently replaced by an oil-fired steam engine.

If one has experienced a ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, one can do it virtually by watching the famous song by Dil Se Chaiyya Chaiyya, which was filmed on this road.

Kangra Valley Railway, Himachal Pradesh: -

It is the longest mountain railway, as well as the last mountain railway built in India.

This train crosses the Kangra Valley in Himachal Pradesh and passes through the majestic Dhauladhar mountain ranges.
